The essential oil of Virginia cedar (Juniperus virginiana) has antiseptic properties pulmonary, vulnerary, healing and antiviral used in cystitis, arterial problems and edema of the lower extremities with its terpene compounds.

Originally used by native North Americans, Cedar is an important ornamental and timber tree of eastern North America whose fragrant wood is made into home goods, cabinetry, and fences. Cedarwood Essential Oil is extracted from the wood using a steam distillation process to capture the bold aroma of this evergreen.
